“Highcliffe PLG“ started life in April 2013 as “Lyndhurst and New Forest PLG“. My then co–host Gill Taylor and I decided to move closer to home the following year. We ran the group together for another year, then Gill decided to pursue her Yoga Therapy training. Since then, I have had the pleasure of continuing building up the group and inviting speakers from a wide area of subjects.
At Highcliffe PLG, regular talks are given by some of the most inspirational people in the field of alternative and holistic living. These are followed by light refreshments and the opportunity to socialise with like–minded people over a cuppa and biscuit. The purpose of the group is to act as a neutral platform for a variety of alternative ideas and practices which may offer solutions to the challenges many of us face in this ever–changing world we live in.
The emphasis is very much on the health of the body, mind and spirit and how that impacts on the planet. In essence, it aims to get answers for those with questions. Highcliffe PLG aims to support its community, so whenever possible, a local person is chosen to be the guest speaker. The group is non–denominational and open to all those interested in bringing about personal and spiritual growth with global harmony.
Price to pay is £5 on the door. Weekly email updates are posted to an extensive (and an ever growing) email list.
Optional workshops have been added in 2016 for our inspirational speakers to be able to offer to those who are interested, opportunities to explore their areas of expertise in more detail. The current programme can be picked up on the evening or found on this page by scrolling down or on our Facebook page, or by calling the host, Lis Horwich on 07941043282.
